1.0.1 update: I dont know if the update improved character recognition or if Ive learned to write a bit more neatly, but either explanation is a positive sign, right? Definitely worth the install. Original review: This is a very attractive app, with lovely animations and sounds. The only flaw is that the character recognition will often misinterpret input, and when drawing multi-stroke characters (like an open-topped 4) or multiple digit answers it often will decide youre done writing between strokes - even at adult writing speeds. I think this would be a bit frustrating for young fingers, which is a shame because the idea of writing out their answers is wonderful. Hopefully the reality of handwriting answers will match the promise a little better in an update. For the price, Id say download and try it yourself, and then decide if your children would find the input issues distracting or not. What doesnt frustrate you may make you a stronger hand-writer, to borrow a phrase.

Best math game. Incredibly fun and easy and stimulates the mind. Keep your brain young and healthy with this app. The confetti for a new personal record is SO worth the effort lol!

Just along the lines of what I was looking for. Very fun and good practice. Would be better if the advanced math was a bit trickier.

Overview: Almost perfect, but a few bugs keep this from being perfect. Pros: - Math learning is fun and easy - Sounds are very nice - Looks attractive - Comparing scores to your old ones is great Cons: - Sometimes the characters are not read perfectly. My 9s usually dont work. - I find I have to write small for it to recognize my numbers. - No leader board history. I want to be able to see all my scores and the dates of them. - I dont get money. Joking. Thanks!

The kids love it! Fun way to learn math skills.

This is a great idea. I am constantly wanting to beat my time. It just needs some work on recognizing certain numbers. Its frustrating when you are racing the clock and it hangs to try and recognize a number, then doesnt.

This app is great for practicing math facts, you see a question and you write the answer. I dont really care for Game Centre integration.

This app has really captivated our daughters attention! Helps her pay attention and avoid number reversals. She is thrilled by the technology. We love it because she is putting in more time on her math facts!

I really like how you have to write the answers and not choose from multiple choice. However there is no opportunity to choose a set of times tables to practice on a problem area. Could be so much better.

Im not big fan playing on iPhone, but this is one of my favorite iPhone games.
